A straw bag for the conscious consumer and her lifestyle.
The straw bag is made of bamboo and handmade by the people of Pako in Vietnam, designed by Josefine, the founder of Form - a nomad design studio. She met the group during the years she lived in Vietnam.
Charming and easy to carry as a bag or on your bike or stroller. You fasten the bag to the bike / pram with the included leather straps. The bag consists of a cloth bag in black and a bamboo basket. They are designed as a set but both can be used separately and are equally beautiful to wear separately.
The bamboo basket is handmade and each has its unique character, shaped by a pair of hands. Bamboo and rattan are harvested in the area where the Pako group lives and are processed by hand by the group. The color of bamboo and rattan varies and contributes to the unique appearance of each basket.
The project is a collaboration between Josefine and a small group of Pako minority people, a unique product that will contribute to increased income.
Pako is one of many minority groups in the highlands of Vietnam. The group we work with lives in one of Vietnam's poorest provinces - Quang Tri which is located in the central part of Vietnam. This is where the toughest battle was fought during the 21-year war.
It is a small production but we are constantly evolving. We work closely together to make this a profitable project.
